Common Business Service Questions
Below are a list of questions that we have received from various clients and/or prospect over time and we thought best to document here. They are in no particular order.
Do Revisions to Existing Reports Count as a Report Request?
One Report Request is used each time our report writing team works on a report, whether the request is categorized as a New Report or as a Revision To An Existing Report.
We have built in a Review and Approval Process to our system where each report we create or customize includes as many revisions as needed / required to make you, the client, happy. Once a Report Request’s results have been reviewed and approved though; we do not offer free / ongoing modifications to those reports unless a new Report Request has been put into the system.
The reasoning for that is because someone at the requesting company previously had to: preview, validate and approve the results we returned in any previous Report Requests related to those reports - thus approving and accepting the accuracy of the results returned at that time.
Since those results were validated and signed off on; this means that any current requested changes are most often a result of a:
Business process / workflow / title production system configuration change
Data entry / integration process change
Some other decision made outside of the system of Ops Insights
Therefore, since the purpose of this new requested change was outside of the control of Ops Insights and the results that the report currently return were validated and approved before being used in the system; it then counts as a new scope of work. That is why we ask you to put in a new Report Request for any additional changes and/or revisions that you would like to have made.
However, in reviewing a Report Request for an existing report, if the reason for the requested change is an error on Ops Insights behalf instead of a business process or other desired change, then our policy is to credit the Report Request used back to the client. We hope that helps clarify things.
